Maple Glazed Carrots

2 pounds carrots, trimmed, cut into slices
Salt and Pepper
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
Place carrots in a skillet. Add 1 cup water and salt, stir. Bring to a boil, simmer until carrots are almost tender. Drain. Wipe out skillet.
Combine carrots, butter and syrup in a skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook until carrots are tender and glazed.
Makes 8 servings.
