Black Olives with Garlic
2 cloves garlic, cut
1 or 2 jars large ripe olives
Rub a glass or earthenware bowl with garlic and add olive oil to a depth of 1/8 inch. Add ripe olives, drained and some cracked ice. Stir thoroughly.
Cover and let stand at room temperature 2 hours. Drain and serve.
