Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 8 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 pkg yeast
  • lemon peel
  • 1/2 cup almonds chopped
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup dried fruit any

Instructions

  • Melt butter with milk, then allow to cool to lukewarm in a large bowl
  • Mix remaining ingredients, then pour over the milk mixture and mix well.
  • Let rise 2 hours. Form into 2 loaves.
  • Bake 350° for 20-30 minutes. Cool and frost or dust with powdered sugar.
