Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • In pan, measure in sugar, buttermilk, butter, corn syrup and and baking soda. Boil 5 to 6 minutes til thick and syrupy. Add vanilla and pour over the cake.
  • Serves 16; enough for one Bundt cake.
