Sauteed Veggies with Steak

2 beef steaks
1 teaspoon chopped thyme
1 teaspoon chopped oregano
Salt and Pepper
1 teaspoon unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon oil
1/2 cup water
6 carrots, halved lengthwise
3 bacon slices
1 1/2 cups green peas

Sprinkle steaks with thyme, oregano, salt and pepper. Melt butter in a skillet. Add oil to pan. Add steaks to pan, cook until desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes cut into thin slices.

Combine 1/2 cup water and carrots in a skillet, bring to a boil. Cook carrots until tender. Remove carrots from pan. Add bacon to pan, cook until crisp.

Remove bacon from pan, crumble. Add carrots to drippings in pan, saute 1 1/2 minutes. Add peas, saute until heated. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and bacon.

Serve vegetables with steak…
