1 can tomato sauce — (15 oz.)
2 cloves garlic — finely minced
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
In a medium saucepan, over medium heat add the oil.
Then, add the garlic and cook till fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a gently boil, then reduce the heat to low.
Cover and cook for 15-18 minutes.
Once finished cooking, remove from the heat and let cool.
