Easy Holiday Mints

1 (16 oz.) pkg. powdered sugar
3 tablespoons softened butter or margarine
3 1/2 tablespoons evaporated milk
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon peppermint or almond extract
Few drops desired food coloring

Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl; knead until smooth.

Shape mints and place on baking sheet. Cover with a paper towel and let dry (24 hours).

Remove and place in airtight container.

Yields 6 dozen.
