Cheesy Herbed Croutons

3 slices of white bread
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Preheat oven to 400°.

Cut bread into 3/4-inch cubes with a serrated knife. Crush the celery seed using a mortar and pestle.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Remove from heat. Stir in the herbs and cheese. Put the bread cubes in a bowl, pour herb-cheese mixture over bread cubes and cover with a lid. Shake to coat the bread cubes.

Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake turning twice with a spatula until lightly browned, about 6 minutes. Spread on paper towels. Let stand to cool. Store in an airtight container.
