Baked Bosc Pears on the Half Shell

Pears
3 fresh Bosc USA Pears
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Raisin Filling
1/4 cup raisins
2 tablespoons chopped nuts

Date Filling
1/3 cup chopped dates
2 tablespoons chopped nuts
1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel

Mincemeat Filling
1/2 cup prepared mincemeat
1 tablespoon rum or brandy

Halve and core pears.

Combine ingredients for desired filling and fill centers.

Combine remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and pour over pears.

Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until tender.

Baste frequently with syrup.
